About the events and the 3 fearsome volcanoes:
23/24 October 2021 Virtual run Cumbre Vieja, Spain, Lava Run 8km
The Cumbre Vieja is a mountain range and an active volcano on the island of La Palma. The latest eruption started on 19 September 2021 and is currently ongoing. After the volcano eruption, the medal will be a symbol of this memorable event for all who would take the challenge.
13/14 November 2021 Vesuvius, Italy – crater run 3km or perimeter run 18km
Mount Vesuvius is listed among the most dangerous volcanoes in the world and is long overdue to erupt in the next few years. So, if you complete this run and choose this volcano that means that you have proven yourself to be the courageous, strong and resilient person that you have always known you truly are.
18/19 Dec 2021 Krakatoa, Indonesia 10km perimeter run
The Krakatoa eruption in 1883 became one of the most famous volcanoes ever, not just because of its fearsome power and effects, but because it was the first really gigantic volcano to blow in the beginning stages of the technological era. Indonesia has more than 130 active volcanoes.
